Started by inquisitive minds and passionate explorers in 2010, the Explore Washington State podcast has evolved to focus on spotlighting interesting places, people, happenings and beyond. Topics covered are a bit off the beaten path, as are the guests featured on the show. Explore WA appeals to locals and visitors alike, serving as a guide that covers just about everything our diverse state has to offer. There is always something new to discover, so the content of the show is always interesting and varied.
Explore Washington is the leading podcast in its arena, and continues to evolve, expand and develop into a profitable entity.
THE HORIZON + VISION
The long-term trajectory for this podcast is to bring in enough revenue to build a thriving tourism-based business that can employ and sustain family members for generations to come. Explore WA will continue to become the ultimate resource for things to do and places to see for those who want to explore our beloved home state.
This vision will be achieved through an innovative grassroots approach, connecting like-minded folks through the podcast, working with likemided brands that the team can stand behind. Efforts will be funded by those looking to expand their community and foundation here in the Pacific Northwest. The podcast will be an accesible way for people of all backgrounds to uncover the variety that Washington has to offer.

Fun-loving creatives and Innovators. Resourceful, informative locals. Authentically homespun storytellers, approachable and casual. Easy to connect with.
OUR AESTHETIC
We love calming, cool tones, as well as warm, earthy tones inspired by our varied landscape. We love art history, and organic geometry yielding from the eras of Art Deco and Art Nouveau. The recognizable shape of WA State feels appropriate, but not to be glaringly obvious or overdone. We’d like to subtly nod to the state that has provided so much to us.
We’re obsessed with good coffee, and the intriguing draw of a speakeasy tucked away in the city.
We look up to brands like Patagonia, Filson and Ovis. We dig their sense of style with function and attention to detail. These brands also cultivate a sense of community that they are located in and cater to.
WHO WE’RE NOT
Formal, stuffy, overly-polished, or judgemental. We are not corporate, prescriptive, or exclusive. We don’t give off that ‘locals only’ coveted vibe.
We will never be cold and corporate.
We want to see our state-wide community thrive. Our goal is to help Washington to continue to thrive and be a buzzing hub for creatives, inventors, trail-blazers, and life-long adventurers.
